The gates are open, the bum-rush has commenced. We now find ourselves staring at the face of a deliberate stream of illegal immigrants, pouring into America by the throngs. And in the midst of it all, the media has once again decided to farm raise the crickets that we hear chirping.
Welcome to Reconquista (Stage I), sponsored by LaRaza. It's been talked about for years, now it's happening.
For years now, we have witnessed a covert sneaky operation. We winked at it, we didn't take it seriously. It happened in the dead of night, on weekdays, when people were working, and when the Border Patrol was covering other areas, playing cards, etc.. Ten, fifteen, maybe twenty at a time would slip through.... then after a short pause, a few more. At that time, we didn't care too much....cheap labor was here to do the jobs we didn't. They did a lot of seasonal work and slipped back home, once the season was over.
Today.... it's open, it's blatant, and it is directly in our faces.....and they have no intention of going back. There is no attempt to hide it and the only criticism being leveled by most of the MSM is how dangerous of a trek this had to be, for the "children". How horrible for them is all we hear from the complicit journalists and other hacks, who control our information.
It is not the least bit surprising to see that no credible media outlets have questioned how young children and toddlers have made the trip through all of this rough territory. No one at MSNBC or CNN has bothered to think about how these poor babies crawled here, without a parent or guardian. To top it all off, we are somehow being asked to believe that this is just a spontaneous act or occurrence, related to the poor conditions in their home country.
Some of us know this has clearly been orchestrated by the Obama Administration for one reason or another. There's no question about it. It is an act being committed for specific purposes and I bet the majority do not have any inkling why it is happening.
Here's what we do hear. The current immigrants are being equated to refugees by the policy wonks and we are being asked to think of them as such. Those who are not inclined to use critical thinking skills are swallowing the bait without a blink, they are the gullible class.
The first thing to realize is that most people in this current wave are not children.... and.... many of the ones who are children are actually teens. They act and make decisions like adults, but we have been led to believe these are young school age kids with toddlers and infants.
It's hard to know the numbers because the government is not permitting anyone to inspect the facilities they are being housed in, after their arrival. It's all a big secret.
One Congressman was openly turned back at one place and many other people (with cause to view the situation up close) have been turned away also. If that isn't enough, Border Patrol Officers, ICE officials, and DHS personnel have been threatened with termination and jail, if they reveal anything they know. So much for the most transparent Administration, in history. With this bunch, there is no way of knowing anything close to the truth.
Many people suspect that the current government wants new voters. I am sure that's an angle they see, but is this the real reason they are behaving this way?
As we all know, once the people are here, they won't be forced to leave anytime soon. Soon, the call for amnesty will ramp up wildly....again. After that has been successfully implemented (with the phone and the pen), the cry will go out to register them to vote. La Raza will use every opportunity to register the people in the same manner and style as ACORN..... presto!!!
So yes, that's part of it. I do suspect this may be one objective--but let me say that I have another hypothesis that I am developing.
I suspect far more nefarious and malicious rationales and intentions. It is my belief that many of these people in the current stampede are those with strong criminal backgrounds. Yes, they are young...but this is by design so that they can be more easily molded and influenced. They are the muscle, the ones the home country should want to keep at home, so they can better help their own nation survive.
But here's the clincher. The larger purpose of their arrival could be for the implementation of Hispanic terror cells that will have a mission of creating chaos, using violence very similar to jihadists and their methods. If so, these terrorists' primary objective will be separation of the Southwestern states from the Union, and their re-assimilation back into Mexico. If they cannot get the vote to do it through the ballot box, their job will be to create enough fear and anxiety that we will cave.
They can live and exist within the various Latino communities in the country, both small and large. They can do all of this virtually undetected, much like they do now in the illegal drug trade. If you think this is not possible, you need to think again.
Think about this a minute. There is no war in Central America right now. There is no persecution, no ethnic cleansing, no genocide going on either. These are the usual reasons we have historically facilitated the transfer of refugees into our country, but this isn't happening right now. It's simply not the case.
To make matters worse, there is now talk about flying people in from Honduras--all because the "children" will be safer traveling in this manner. Never mind there is no real criteria being met. We must get these people here, now, and fast. And, we must have Americans pay for it because they are the evil empire, who stole this land from Mexico.
If there was ever a time in this nation we need someone with some guts to stand up to these dastardly deeds and those who do them.... it is NOW.!!! We need more than anything to wrest control of the Senate from Harry Reid and the other criminals who are content to let this happen. We need a super majority to block any chance of a filibuster.
Once this has been done, we need enough courageous TEA Party types with strong libertarian streaks to eject John Boehner and Mitch McConnell from their leadership positions. We need to replace them with people who are not cowards. They need to be people who will have the guts to use the Constitution to stop the criminal acts of this Administration, someone who will not be afraid to impeach and remove this bunch of treasonous hacks...
We are running out of time, folks. If we fail this time, we could be very well talking about martial law this time next year....and the suspension of elections, the next.

Happy Independence Day
To the 4-5 regular readers, and the 6-7 transients that blow through on a whim, I have been remiss. I have failed you all and I am ever so sorrowful for not keeping regular postings. It's been a tough run the entire last year and a lot of life decisions are being made..... but please know that Mrs.Sunset and I are fine.
We did see a lot of white over the winter. We thought we were having out of body experiences at times, but it turns out this is what happens when your outside world feels like a walk-in freezer at Dairy Queen. We were resilient. We made it........ we endured. (It also helped that I bought a snow blower.)
Nevertheless, needless to say, it is important to note that July 4 is the mid-way point of summer and the year.....and...... we are headed for some rough times as nation. It cannot be anything but miserable ahead, because the direction we are presently going is not the way that offers the best chance for success. We are being set up to fail and so far, we are fairly powerless to do much about it. The media isn't helping much, but that's to be expected of a fine Marxist trained profession that battles to be our main source of news.
Still......in spite of all the problems we have, despite the incompetence our leaders are demonstrating, even with the overt desire to not do a damned thing about any of it, we still have our loved ones and each other. We must cherish all moments, take all opportunities to help one another.
And even though the world is pretty much crapping in our front yards at this time, we still can be grateful we still have a chance at what those brave men envisioned 238 years ago. It's not over. But it will be if we don't get it right.
We must be earnest and believe that we can win the arguments soundly, we must have some faith we can win it enough times to get back on the right track, often enough to set into motion the kind of reform that will be necessary to straighten this mess out. We can do it. We can ensure opportunities for more generations, so they can experience a chance to live peaceably in their lives. but we have to stay the course and not give up.
We should not get overly discouraged, we should be persistent and strive to persevere through the dark moments. How can we know good times, except we suffer some tough ones to draw a stark contrast? How do we know good unless we know bad?
So, to my handful of regulars (even the NSA guy) I wish for you all to have a Happy Independence Day. Be safe. If you drink, don't drive and if you drive, don't drink. Most importantly, try to take a small amount of time during these next three days to reflect on why we pause at this time and why we honor a declaration/statement so bold.
The very writing of such a document was enough to endanger the lives of those who signed it, so much so that they had to watch over their shoulders after it was announced.. But they still did it. They owned it. They lived it. They backed it up.

Controlling The Soft Touch
It's been going on for a long time, there is nothing new to report. The "trophies given to everyone" concept has been an educational model for 20+ years, and we are seeing the effects of it today.
And......it's still being used.
This text recently went out from one elementary school in Michigan :
In a perfect world, I will buy this. I will.
I do understand that ball games are just ball games. I get it. Fellowship and socialization are part of the big picture here. There is no denying it.... but we do not live in Utopia.
Here's what really bothers me about it. I am critical of the fact they are trying to take the competitive spirit out of people. They are not teaching it any longer. As a result, kids will be far easier to control as they age.
Lets just take the drive and motivation out of them now, so they won't know about it later.
Folks, I believe the fellowship is important. You won't be successful in life if you don't have it. But trying to do your best and learning to compete is also important. Trying to extract every ounce of effort for a win is the essence of athletics. The motivation to play games has to be playing your best to win....while not humiliating the competition. It is a character builder, when it is taught and managed right.
Teamwork, perseverance, planning, execution of that planning, all are by products of any sport. The rewards are immediate, you cannot learn without all elements.
The products of this "everyone wins" groupthink will be nothing less than softness, and it will be measured by the level of ambivalence and indifference that the next generation internalizes. The new social more will be defined as just getting together, exercising, and having fun....nothing else. What this will produce is the multiplication of passive people, beta males, and metrosexuals.
If this is the case, shouldn't we just get rid of it all and save the money? Shouldn't we just do calisthenics for an hour or two a day and forget about going through the motions?
PT formation at 0630, lattes at 0800. The leader will then address us all at 0900 to let us know what we should all be doing on that particular day.
And......it's still being used.
This text recently went out from one elementary school in Michigan :
The purpose of the day is for our school to get together for an enjoyable two hours of activities and provide an opportunity for students, teachers and parents to interact cooperatively. Since we believe that all of our children are winners, the need for athletic ability and the competitive “urge to win” will be kept to a minimum. The real reward will be the enjoyment and good feelings of participation.
In a perfect world, I will buy this. I will.

Biosurveillance, As An Afterthought
As an integral part of the dreadful ACA, doctors are being forced to use an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) that is now web-based. Once again it becomes not a case of why I don't want people to have healthcare, it's now a case of "how much government do you want in your life?"
The supporters of Obamacare made it about access and that's all many of you heard. "Those horrible people who stand against it are heartless and want poor people to die."
Now we hear it in the past tense. "All we wanted to do was give people something they needed, something that the heartless, who did not want it, already had."
Now..... when you hear this kind of rhetoric, you can chew on this. It's called "Biosurveillance".
Why is this scary? Because the government, who currently snoops in on whatever it wants, can now snoop in your medical record. Let's see what they might find.
Man goes to counseling for some situational depression and anxiety, following a rough divorce. The EMR will show these diagnoses. As far as the data collection process is concerned, there just so happens to be some other info. There is also a question in most EMRs of the patient's Primary Care Physician (PCP) about how many guns the patient owns.
So here we have a PCP with the answer to that question, along with these diagnoses listed in the same record. How convenient, what we have here is a potential threat. His guns should be confiscated.
See how easy that was?
Do you now see that NOW we are finding out what is in the bill, after they passed it?

The federal government is piecing together a sweeping national “biosurveillance” system that will give bureaucrats near real-time access to Americans’ private medical information in the name of national security, according to Twila Brase, a public health nurse and co-founder of the Citizens Council for Health Freedom.
Why is this scary? Because the government, who currently snoops in on whatever it wants, can now snoop in your medical record. Let's see what they might find.

An Existential Question (Or Two)
There's a question that's being asked. I'd like to share some thoughts about it.
I normally don't listen to talk radio when I am in my vehicle, driving. I have found more peace listening to my Sirius/XM music in the past couple of years, which is mostly free from commercials (but don't kid yourself, they do promote themselves and other channels on the service). Even still, I do pop over to The Patriot on some occasions and the other day when I did, I heard Glenn beck ask the same question to his audience.
It's a simple question, but one that has a complex answer: "Who have we become?"
Don't think people do not ask this question, because I know many who do. The question is, are there enough people who care about it to make a difference?
We do not seem to be know these answers. Who we are, where we are, and where we are going is not being considered by too many. Too many people are just trying to maintain homeostasis. This being the case, it's too easy to put off the tough things. When you have to maintain a life, it does wear a person down.
We all have commitments that distract us. We all have Erickson's little developmental tasks to challenge and conquer. But..... we must start setting aside a moment or two in a day to think about some things that lie right outside the immediate moment, things that will be affected by what we do now. These are things affecting our course, our direction, and ultimately will make or break our future (and that of our children and grandchildren).
One only needs to look in on stories that have not been worthy of media outrage by the mainstream outlets, only worthy of a small corner somewhere (if that). These are outrages that ought to lead us to wonder just who we have become and whether this is where we should be..
Here's one story: USDA Buying Sub-machine Guns.
The Department commissioned to regulate American Farm Commerce is buying military weapons. Is there any good thing that could come of this? And you have to know that every Obamaton who cried for civil liberties when GWB was President, cannot be found for comment. In fact, I haven't heard anyone ask for comment.
Here's another:
Michelle Obama Encourages Family Members To Police Other Family Members.
It is not the objective of federal laws to stop racism. I am as against racism as anyone, I taught my kids not to judge based on color or ethnicity. they learned it, they practice it. But let's be realistic here, racism is not ever going to be stopped completely. It's just not going to happen in this present age and time, and we damned sure will not stop it by picking scabs on old wounds, so that they never heal.
The purpose of federal law is only to ensure that in the business world, no one is excluded from opportunities to buy or sell their goods, talents, or services, based on race, religion, culture, etc. No one should be denied housing, jobs, or the opportunities afforded to us all by the US Constitution. It's goal is not to stop racism and Mrs. Obama knows this.
Her goal in these statements is to create an environment where she can pit family members against one another, so she can divide at the family level. Pick a fight, make a scene to stop racism is only the means and the method she uses....she has nothing constructive. They have been doing it from Day One in the Obama Administration. Make sure you start a big fight at the Thanksgiving table this year if Uncle Ed doesn't want Obamacare to succeed.
This how she seeks to attain a big part of the larger objective.
That objective is not so hard to understand either. It is her and other people's desire to have a state they can control, where they can create a network of snitches. These are tattlers who are simply used by the statist elite, so they can ruin people if they are not with the program.
Today, it's racism. What will the subject be tomorrow?
Tell us where your father's/brother's/mother's/sister's guns are? Most farmers have a slew of them, all owned for different specific purposes and all capable of providing self-defense against unwanted visits. But they are not good for America. Tell your government officials so when the USDA comes to take your land away from you for some bogus reason, you will not stand a chance.
Is this who we want to be? Is this who we really are? Is this who we will someday be? Or is this who we have become? When will we know these answers? Or is it too late?
Who gets to decide the answers?

First lady Michelle Obama is encouraging students to monitor their older relatives, friends and co-workers for any racially insensitive comments they might make, and to challenge those comments whenever they’re made.
The first lady spoke on Friday to graduating high school students in Topeka, Kansas, and in remarks released over the weekend, Obama said students need to police family and friends because federal laws can only go so far in stopping racism.

Lose Your Illusion
Do not attempt to adjust your set. For the next five minutes Bill Whittle has some info you may be interested in knowing, especially when dealing with tyrannical pro-government statists who want to control your thought processes:
Who controls your perception? Are you sure you are not having trouble understanding what you are being told? If you are doubting what you know to be true, then it's time to lose the illusions and reorient yourself to reality.
For the past five years, we have been lied to and then told we were not. We have been made to feel like we are not understanding what we have heard. Some of the liars have even had to audacity to think you are too stupid to remember the lies that have been told.
For the past five years the media has been saturated with lies told by the statists in power. It has been overtly complicit in the telling of tall tales, enabling and propagating the falsehoods as facts. If it were not for Breitbart, Ben Swann, FOX News, and some other media outlets willing to go against the grain of the official narrative, we'd all think we were nuts.
It's time to stand up to be counted as people who will not follow blindly along, as sheep being led to the slaughterhouse. It's time to know and recognize what is real and what is not, what is wrong and what is right.
More than anything, it's time to know the difference between morality and obedience. Morality is doing what is right, regardless what you are being told. Obedience is doing what you are told, regardless of what is right.
The sooner we begin to realize these things, the sooner we can live in a better world....the sooner we can stop this free-fall toward reckless and wanton disregard, for truth and justice. The sooner we come back to our senses, the sooner we can perceive that which is real and that which is not, once again.
